While we all struggle at times with knowing when to "let go" and when to "get a grip," some feel immobilized by their pain and hopeless about the future. With compassion and nonjudgmental acceptance, I can help you learn to ease your difficulties and reach meaningful life goals that are consistent with your values. I believe we are all capable of improving the quality our lives no matter how difficult and chronic problems have been. Seeing my clients evolve through self-acceptance, emotional healing, and meaningful action is a true privilege and passion for me. I specialize in individual & couples psychotherapy, with older adolescents & adults dealing with depression, anxiety, traumatic events, relationship concerns, issues related to sexual orientation or gender, & adjustment to life transitions (e.g, divorce, pregnancy). Treatment plans draw from my experience with several different therapeutic traditions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). While I am grounded in empirically supported therapies, I am flexible and integrative, using a personable conversational style to connect with clients. Together, we will explore what you've learned about your strengths and vulnerabilities, practice being grounded in the present, and work towards building a hopeful & productive future.
