Taking the step to seek counseling services for yourself, a child (teen/ adolescent), or as a couple can feel overwhelming. It has taken time to create the circumstances that have brought you to pursue counseling, and it will take time to actively address these issues and concerns- to see and feel long lasting results. However, the decision to seek services is movement forward- it has the feeling of hope, desire, and motivation on your part in beginning to make changes or increasing your ability to cope and manage life. I use a combination of interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior and insight oriented therapy to collaborate with clients to address a variety of emotional, relationship, and psychological issues and concerns. I provide active and directive work with my clients, and believe in the positive effect of the therapeutic relationship.
