I offer treatment for adolescents and adults who are in a state of emotional crises. Individuals can respond to stress as a loss or a threat. It could be a loss of a loved one that could bring the individual into a grief process or clinical depression. Or facing a divorce, the individual could respond with anxiety or panic attacks. Early childhood trauma can lead to responses such as social phobia. The therapeutic goal is to mobilize the client's energy so that the client sees the problem as a challenge. This allows the individual to mobilize their natural coping ability. For anger management I offer short term solution oriented treatment. This allows impulsive individuals to accept reasonable boundaries during the therapy session, without alienating them from the helpful, therapeutic process. Treatment also allows the individual to develop a sense of competency, even when the individual is interacting during emotionally tense situations. I provide treatment to police officers, first responders, and military personnel who have been exposed to simple or complex trauma situations with or without addiction problems. This service is completely confidential. The task is to prevent post tramatic stress from developing into Post Tramautic Stress Disorder. EMDR services are available.
