I love what I do! My approach to therapy can best be described as interpersonal, integrative, and culturally responsive. I will acknowledge your areas of concern while also honoring your resilience and strength. A client once said "you...are really good". I'll be honest. If I don't feel I am the best fit, I will aid you in seeking more appropriate support. I'm personable, kind, and flexible. I'm also competent, tough and serious. Therapy can be tough but without a doubt worth it. I accept the opportunity to help you heal, grow, and live a more fulfilling life. I specialize in grief & loss/bereavement, adolescent conduct issues or mood "disorders", stage of life concerns, self-esteem, spirituality, trauma (e.g. abandonment, childhood abuse, assault, bullying, discrimination, etc.), and justice oriented issues related to our many identities. My work related to discrimination has been considered unique. I help to create a more desirable life, greater sense of self, and stronger relationships. *I do not work with UF students due to conflict of interest.
