Do you seek the root from your past that connects to present-day suffering? I use a DBT-informed, cognitive-behavioral approach in my counseling practice. I strive to help clients identify goals to reach a more satisfying quality of life. When you and I feel ready I utilize prolonged exposure techniques and mind-body connections to treat childhood and adult trauma. We would focus on desensitization of present-day triggers, processing of past traumatic memories, and insight into complex trauma effects played out in current relationships. I have 11 years of experience providing individual, group, and family counseling. Areas of special interest include high-risk/impulsive and compulsive behaviors, eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal conflict. I utilize mindfulness practices and behavioral analysis to assist with overcoming presenting problems. I love my work.
