Leah Day, LSCW, has been practicing clinical counseling for over 15 years. Her office is located in downtown Portland, Maine, a short walk from public parking and numerous Metro stops. Leah began her career working in various wilderness programs such as Outward Bound and Vision Quest with the Youth at Risk population. She has served as a clinician in many school settings, in community outreach in adoption and parenting programs, and in office with a variety of age groups from school-age to mid-life. She has experience in treating trauma, depression, anxiety and relational issues. She has a passion for working with young parents who are struggling to meet the needs of their families. She enjoys working with adolescents unlocking their innate curiosity about the world. She has a great deal of experience working with adoptive families fostering connection and mental health for both children and parents. When not working, Leah spends her time gardening and having outdoor adventures with her husband and their four children. Leah spends one quarter of her time providing Outreach Clinical Services to those who are unable to make it into an office.
