Asking for help can be a very difficult thing to do. Finding a therapist with whom you feel secure and comfortable can be equally daunting, especially when you are in the midst of emotional and psychological pain. I am invested in cultivating a safe, supportive, and trusting connection intended to improve your choices and enhance your relationships with yourself and others. I deal with many kinds of emotional and relational issues, including but not limited to- life changes, compulsiveness, anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, intimacy/sexuality, addictions, and midlife crisis . I can help you create successful relationships, manage difficult emotions, cultivate compassion towards yourself and others and learn how to have a rich and meaningful life. Richard is trained and certified in numerous forms of therapy. He holds a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from 1988 from Phillips Graduate Institute in Encino, CA; is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT), and a Certified Employee Assistance Counselor (EAP).
