I have worked with kids and their families for over 25 years. My favorite children and teens are strong willed, capable, and smart (academic and/or common sense). I see kids ranging from 3 year olds to college students. Some of the most common issues that I work with are, ADD/ADHD, Oppositional/Defiant, Depression, Anxiety and Bipolar Disorders. Other general issues are poor social skills, difficulty with frustration, poor communication skills and parent-child conflict. Because so many of the families that I see are struggling with how get along easily, I prefer to include parents whenever possible. Because of my experience in working with so many kids I bring a very interactive and problem solving orientation to my practice. I believe in maximizing an individual's strengths and practicing new stategies outside of the therapy hour to reduce the time spent in therapy. We have 3 Social Skills Groups available for children ranging from 3-14 years of age. In addition we have an online parent group, Phoenix Parent Coaching. This group focuses on how to understand your child's underlying concerns and improve your family's daily relationship.
