It's a brave act to seek counseling and lay one's precious life in the hands of another. It is my desire to meet my clients where they are in their development and to offer skills and therapy to increase overall mental health individually, relationally and socially. Sometimes difficulties are addressed in a few sessions or it may take a period of time to address the issues. The client decides how often and for how many sessions counseling will last. Working with Graduate Student Interns from area universities, I have access to counselors-in-training that can provide reduced fees. I seek to assist individuals, couples, and families who seek help with such personal and spiritual problems as: - anxiety - depression - couples issues - parent/child relationships - bereavement, personal loss - confusion and doubt about faith - addictive behaviors - physical and emotional abuse - stress due to life transitions I desire to collaborate with my clients, understand the significance of their relationships and find basic human needs that are not being met. It's my goal to discover together solutions and skills to meet my client's needs to improve overall mental health and functioning.
