As a counselor, my role is to meet clients where they are in their own journey and help them explore realistically what their life is and what it could be like. Just as each client is a unique individual, so is their journey. Sometimes issues may be addressed within a few sessions while others may take a longer amount of time; this is up to the client. I work with individual clients as well as couples. I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults who seek help with such problems as: stress, anxiety, depression, divorce recovery, parenting education, parent/child relationships, behavioral issues, and couples/relationship issues. I enjoy using creative interventions to help clients see a new perspective. My approach is client-centered and cognitive-behaviorally based. I aim to collaborate with clients to better understand their thoughts and feelings and how those influence their behaviors. My goal is to help clients become more self-aware and to discover solutions and skills to have happier, healthier relationships.
