Art is a tool used to bring about positive change, and creates an environment of safety and comfort. Specially trained as an Art Therapist, I believe all people are creative. By utilizing images, we can gain insight about ourselves in a way words cannot always accurately express, and it offers a unique alternative to traditional talk therapy. Together we will set goals, increase coping skills, and remove barriers to help move you forward in your life. No previous art experience necessary, only an openness to self-reflection and growth. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and families who are struggling with emotional, behavioral, relationship and mental health issues, such as: depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, abuse, trauma, self-harm, self-esteem and developmental disabilities. Clients come from various cultural, sexual, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. I earned my master's degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Art Therapy and Counseling. As a therapist at the Creative Arts Therapy Collaborative, I am directly supervised by Jessica Bruehling Cleberg, MA, LPCC, who holds a certificate in Art Therapy.
