Serving Columbia, South Carolina. Carmen utilizes Play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, reality based practices and crisis interventions within her daily practice. The identified methods are used to address the needs of children, adolescents, individuals, couples, same sex couples and various family systems. All treatment plans utilize creative and best practice methods of treatment Carmen has experience and training in the areas of anxiety, depression, school difficulty, divorce, separation, grief, trauma, domestic violence, child abuse, ADHD, parenting, identity development, interpersonal relationships, and self-esteem building. Carmen is a LCSW in North Carolina and a LISW in South Carolina. Carmen earned a BSW from Benedict College in 2004 also a MSW University of South Carolina in 2005. Carmen will be attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte spring 2014 to obtain a certificate in Play Therapy.
