If you are stressed, depressed or anxious due to a difficult challenge or unexpected change, I am committed to help you reclaim your life and thrive again. Using techniques that have helped myself and many others, I will help you to cope with stress, to build on your strengths, and to develop a plan for negotiating the road ahead of you. As both a licensed professional counselor and registered nurse, I am especially prepared to help you to cope with the stress of injury and it's aftermath, chronic or acute illness, physical disability, and caregiver strain. Stressors I commonly work with include divorce/ separation, relocation/adaptation to new work environments, changes in family life, and health status changes. I also provide counseling to help families or individuals affected by medical procedures, heart attack, stroke, injury, or terminal illness, using both mental health counseling and nursing techniques. I tailor services to family or individual needs; therefore, my services include mental health consultations and counseling, and health coaching. If caregiver responsibilities or health problems are a barrier to services, I can provide them in the home with a physician's referral. I also provide services across the lifespan.
