Dr. Marcia R. Jacobs
Psychologist, PhD
Atlanta, Georgia 30328

I take an empathic, problem-solving approach to help people understand and change behavior and thought patterns that interfere with their achieving a sense of well-being and emotional health. I work with all age groups and a wide range of issues and concerns, including the following: Young adults (18-20s): leaving home; education/job decisions; relationship issues. Adults: divorce, remarriage, single parenting; loss/change of job; illness/death in family; parenting & relationship issues. Adolescents and children: parental divorce, remarriage; moving/changing schools; peer problems; impulse-control and school-related difficulties, including learning/attentional problems. In addition to my clinical practice, I function as a divorce coach or a child specialist in the area of collaborative family law, an alternative dispute resolution process that uses an interdisciplinary team to help couples craft divorce and child custody agreements without resorting to adversarial techniques or tactics.
