I enjoy my work with individuals, adolescents, and couples,dealing with adjustments to life transitions and to the challenging situations encountered in relationships and family and/or work settings. I also have a background in working with children, ages 6-12.,and I am familiar with school related problems at various developmental stages I believe in a practical approach to therapy utilizing both solution-focused and cognitive behavioral methods of problem solving. I emphasize the importance of being open to new ideas and trying new ways of coping with issues which have gotten people discouraged and stuck.My practice includes both short term interventions and longer term work. I find that humor and patience encourage us all to make the changes that can seem so overwhelming to us. The saying......"there are 3 kinds of people, those who wait for things to happen, those who watch things happen and those who make things happen" comes up often in my work!
