I know choosing a therapist can be difficult. I like to provide an atmosphere that is collaborative and free of judgment. My goal is to help people better understand their own thoughts, feelings, and behavior, along with helping people move toward change and meeting their goals. I enjoy helping people increase insight into themselves and their relationships as they may be looking for individual, couples, or family therapy. I also like to use techniques proven effective by research. ***please note that at this time I am only accepting new clients who are seeking Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Substance Use Disorders*** I'm a generalist who enjoys working with a variety of people and concerns. I have particular experience working with people in the GLBT community, along with people diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and anxiety disorders. I also enjoy supervising the development of therapists-in-training. As a result of how I work, clients feel understood and accepted. This is balanced with a focus on changing what is needed. This balance results in people meeting their goals, feeling more confident, and experiencing decreased worry.
