Additionally, medication management and a variety of therapeutic interventions are utilized and catered to the individual needs of patients so as to ensure treatment success. Through individual, group, and family sessions, a patient's primary support system is able to receive education on mental illness, addiction, conflict resolution, effective communication skills, and parenting techniques that can serve a patient (and his or her family) well beyond discharge. Programs & Levels of Care Depending on the level of care required, Seven Hills Hospital offers a number of programs geared towards the betterment of patients' lives. Adolescents receive topnotch psychiatric care and substance abuse treatment under the supervision of and support from Seven Hill's helpful staff. Capable of treating several mental health illnesses and substance abuse problems thorough individual and family psychotherapy, daily groups, medication stabilization, grief counseling, 12-step programming, recreational therapy, and nutritional care, adolescents are able to work towards recovery in a safe and private environment. Similar programs are offered to adults and geriatric patients as well as additional services. There is an adult detox program supervised by medical staff which is designed to provide a safe and comfortable setting for those who may experience withdrawal as a result of abusing drugs or alcohol. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) are additional outpatient services meant to help adult patients transition from inpatient care or to serve as an alternative for individuals not requiring hospitalization. Lastly, Seven Hills features a Generations Unit designed for individuals of advanced age to address the medical and psychiatric needs commonly seen in people over the age of 65. Admissions Process Confidential, no-cost assessments are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Seven Hills Hospital and can be accessed via phone or by walking in and requesting an assessment. Potential patients are initially screened to determine if their needs meet admission criteria. If a person is a risk to him or herself or others, needing detox, presenting with psychotic behaviors, having a psychotic episode, shows symptoms concurrent with post-traumatic stress disorder, or is experiencing severe depression, an order of admission can occur within 20 to 30 minutes following the completion of an initial assessment. Seven Hill's initial assessment includes a patient's medical and psychiatric history, current presenting symptoms and medication use, and other medical conditions that could affect a person's treatment. Seven Hill's thorough evaluation of individuals requiring behavioral health services ultimately lead to catered treatment planning and a greater likelihood of treatment success.
