I provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment for today's growing geriatric population and offer individualized solutions for dealing with the challenges that come with normal aging, cognitive decline, stroke and dementia. I help to: *Establish a Diagnosis *Identify Cognitive and Functional Strengths and Weaknesses * Provide Psychological Support and Education *Provide Cognitive Rehabilitation Training to regain or maintain cognitive abilities *Determine what resources can help an individual remain at home *Determine if/when a higher level of care is needed *Determine if/when assistance with finances, medical decisions, driving and/or guardianship/conservatorship is needed *Offer recommendations for managing difficult behaviors I use objective Cognitive Assessments, Decision Making Capacity Assessments and/or Behavioral and Functional Assessments to develop a plan for managing challenges and improve quality of life while partnering with the individual, family, caregivers, medical teams and attorneys to address identified needs and connect you to resources for your situation. I see all patients in their own homes. This allows for a more complete and inclusive evaluation of functional abilities, resulting in highly personalized recommendations that are specific to the patient, family and situation. Performing assessments in the home also allows me to formulate tips for how to incorporate recommendations.
