I see my role as helping people live happier and healthier lives. I like to facilitate progress and help people take an active role in the process of change. I believe in creating a good working relationship with the clients, and identifying goals and ways to accomplish them. Therefore, I work best with people who are motivated to work during and outside of therapy sessions. I often work with clients who experience anxiety, ADHD symptoms, relationship and communication difficulties, stress, sleep problems, depression, trauma, weight problems, want to quit smoking or to simply improve their sense of wellbeing and purpose. I work with individuals and couples. I use cognitive-behavioral, family systems and reality therapy approaches in my work as a therapist. I often work with mindfulness in addressing different issues. I use mindfulness, imagery, relaxation and meditation techniques, role-play, as well as assignments to self-monitor target behaviors. As an aikido and pilates teacher, as well as a psychologist, I see health as related to mind and body. In my work I focus on role of lifestyle, behavior and emotions in wellbeing. I like to help people develop skills and build resources to cope and live healthier lives.
