My philosophy of counseling is to see my clients in a holistic way. That is, I see you as a whole person rather than a number or a diagnosis. I know that life is impacted by many different variables like relationship troubles, financial stress, parenting issues, work problems, etc. that can contribute to feelings of sadness, depression, anxiety, and more. I have experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, family conflict, sexual abuse, stress, and relationship problems. My theoretical orientation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Many people are surprised by how much our thoughts affect our feelings and behaviors. Tackling thoughts is an interesting and worthwhile process. I view the counseling process as a partnership.
