I bring 20 years of experience counseling marriages and families, anger and depression, women's issues, life transitions, and chronic mental illness. I come alongside people who are often at some of their lowest and/or most vulnerable points in their lives, meet them where they are and seek to place them at ease, first answering any questions they might have about me, the person as the counselor, or about the process. And it may be cliche' but, I understand that people don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care -- before they self-disclose. "I counsel from a Christian worldview, and integrate varied counseling interventions as needed, but primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy. I seek to assist clients in discovering new insights and finding the mistaken beliefs and/or other underlying causes of difficulties, towards resolution and alleviating emotional suffering. I primarily provide Christian Counseling but my services are available to, and respectful of all clients. Faith-based counseling is often also the choice of clients who do not have a strong religious orientation, because such services are accepting, forgiving and comforting. Faith can be an essential component to healing.
