I am a eclectic counselor/psychotherapist with post doctoral training as a neurotherapist. Graduating from the University of Florida with a Specialist and Doctorate in counseling, I have been in private practice for over twenty years treating relationship issues, issues of adolescents and young adults, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and a neurotherapy focus on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. I generally see my clients with my therapy dog, a seasoned Pembroke Welch Corgi who has helped many clients get through difficult times. My practice includes treatment for relationship issues, issues of adolescence and young adults, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and a neurotherapy focus on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Diplomat in the American Psychotherapy Association I am accepted by most insurance companies including Blue Cross/Blue Shield. While in practice I have been active in research having written, supervised and consulted on grants and published texts for practicing psychotherapist/counselors. I try to create a comfortable, non-judgmental counseling environment helping clients work through their issues and develop effective, long-term skills for coping and positive personal growth.
