Although I provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families; my focus is with children and adolescents. I work most closely with trauma, abuse/neglect, and behavioral concerns. I also provide "Active Parenting" courses for parents of children ages 0-17. This program is focused on communication, non-violent discipline and building stronger parent/child relationships. I utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions which allows for individualization during sessions. I strive to empower my clients to explore current concerns and develop the skills needed to assist them in gaining more positive life experiences. While we cannot change the past, we can work together to understand and resolve issues that cause distress. By providing a safe and supportive atmosphere, you can explore any and all concerns with comfort. I'll be there to assist you and/or your family in reaching your desired goals. My education includes a Bachelor's in Psychology & a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation to all my new clients. In addition to traditional individual sessions, I offer Walk Therapy, which will allow us to incorporate both physical and mental health.
