Seeking therapy is a courageous act. In the context of a safe, therapeutic relationship, I work to assist you in developing a greater sense of self-awareness and a clear internal sense of what is right for you as a unique individual. I assist you in discovering constructive ways to cope with stressors and to manage difficult feelings. I may also be proactive in respectfully challenging perceptions and behaviors that may contribute to your suffering. I work well with children and adolescents, as well as adults. Saturday appointments may be available. I have extensive experience working with adults, children and families. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client and family I serve. My work is informed by theories of depth psychotherapy, contextual family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, parent-child psychotherapy, and trauma informed care. You can expect me to be warm, nonjudgmental and interactive while helping with issues including trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, child/adolescent behavioral and emotional problems, parenting issues, and grief and loss. I'm committed to creating safety and confidentiality in our sessions. People of all cultures and sexual orientations are most welcome.
