I have concern for families which are weakened by individual members who maintain sexual addictions. This includes those who spend time on the internet, developing sexual thoughts, ideas and fantacies. I have become certified as a Sexual Addiction Therapist with additional training in self control, critical incident stress and energy psychology. I have worked with individuals of numerous faiths and am always accepting and supportive of individual spiritual beliefs. Situations that arise in a person's life may affect their daily behavior, and must be addressed in a cooperative and concerned manner. These issues may originate from childhood or recent experiences, which impact the individual's ability to think clearly before reacting with fear, anger and/or depreciating behaviors. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist after retiring from 30 years in public education. For three years I worked as a therapist at Lansing State Prison, where I also served on the Crisis Resolution Team (Hostage Negotiations). I work to address issues in a direct yet caring manner.
