I consider it an honor to walk with my clients wherever they are in their journey, holding their stories with great care and compassion. My desire is to create a safe and sacred space in my office where clients can slow down, breathe, and be themselves without fear of judgment. I am comfortable sitting with clients in their story, whether it's in the midst of deep sadness, questioning, confusion, fear, or profound gladness. My passion is to help clients understand their hearts so they may know themselves more deeply and then can more fully live in relationship with others. I view each client as a unique person and develop the best approach for their therapy. My therapeutic approach is integrative in nature, while being influenced by my reflective and curious personality and my ability to connect and empathize with others. I believe it takes courage to enter into the process of counseling. The word "courage"? comes from the Latin word for "heart" and one of the earliest definitions was "to speak one's mind by telling all one's heart." This courage is what I support, nurture, and challenge my clients to embrace.
