I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist/ Neuropsychologist who works with people to improve their general health and well- being. My approach is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Mindfulness- based principles to help empower people to face life's challenges and gain a unique understanding of themselves and their environment. I believe that healthy lifestyle changes and strong coping strategies are important skills that can be learned and ultimately used to increase one's capacity to live a happy, healthy and meaningful life. I am experienced in evaluation and treatment of children, teens, adults and the geriatric population. I completed a post docotoral fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York specializing in Rehabilitation Psychology/Neuropsychology. I specialize in evaluation and treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain disorders such as dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, tumors and strokes, chronic pain and chronic medical conditions. I have special interest working with people who have sustained cognitive impairment or diagnosed with a chronic medical condition. Through functionally based cognitive remediation, I facilitate adjustment to impairments to improve quality of life. Working with caregivers and families is also an integral part of coping with life post injury.
