In a world so hyper-connected, ironically, many people feel more disconnected today than ever before. Many of my clients have prior therapy experience, but come to me because they want to go deeper now and do some work around complicated relationship patterns, trauma, school/career adjustment, unresolved grief/loss, and concerns related to culture and diversity (e.g. race/ethnicity, immigration, LGBTQ, or non-traditional sexual relationships such as polyamory). I believe therapy works best when the the therapeutic relationship feels safe, respectful, and trusting. My style is interactive, insightful, and practical. I offer flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends. When appropriate, I also offer phone and Skype sessions. In addition to being a licensed psychotherapist, I am also an adjunct professor of psychology, researcher, writer, and I present academic papers at major conferences around North America. I am in the process of arranging to accept most major health insurance plans (BCBS, NHP, Harvard Pilgrim, Cigna, United, UBH, Tufts). In the meantime, I offer a sliding scale fee.
