Thank you for considering me as your therapist. With experience in mental health counseling, interpersonal communication theory, & holistic practices, I offer a variety of skills that can help you meet your needs. I have worked in nonprofit mental health agencies & emergency rooms assessing & treating a vast array of mental health concerns from anxiety & depression, OCD, & PTSD to Schizophrenia, substance abuse, & self-harm. As such, I am comfortable working collaboratively with you & shifting my therapeutic approach as needed to meet your goals as they evolve. I work with adults, couples, & families affected by life stress, relationship difficulties, mental health issues, & substance abuse. I specialize in holistic psychotherapy from a person-centered perspective. I have experience in Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that integrates Eastern and Western philosophies). I do not subscribe to a generic form of therapy but work collaboratively w/ clients to develop treatment best-suited to their needs. As a provider of Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) I offer concrete skills in Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation, Mindfulness, & Distress Tolerance. I am also a practitioner of Motivational Enhancement Therapy & can help you uncover barriers to achieving your life goals & develop plans to overcome these.
