I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience as a registered nurse. I believe in integrating mind, body and spirit to create the optimal you. My treatment approach utilizes Positive Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Adlerian Theory. I also use EMDR to help resolve traumatic experiences. I accept insurance and can work with clients in need on a sliding-scale basis. Overcoming trauma and integrating the mind and body are my specialties. I define trauma as anything blocking you from living your optimal life. Sometimes these are tragic occurrences. Sometimes these are experiences which may seem common, but leave a tremendous impact on us. My 30 years of nursing has given me a large knowledge base of medical and physical conditions. Your beliefs of these conditions can have a significant effect on how you deal with disease and chronic pain. Gaining understanding can positively effect the physical state and increase the quality of life.
