I have been in practice for over thirty years; in that length of time I have worked with a wide variety of clients and presenting concerns. The common thread, whether their issues are long term or situational, whether dealing with an immediate crisis or a life transition, is their desire to experience a better quality of life. My goal is to help clients feel less stressed, more self confident ,more in control of their thoughts and behaviors,and more optimistic about life's choices. I work primarily with older adolescents and adults dealing with adjustment and mood disorders, eating disorders, and most recently, aging issues. A large part of my practice has been devoted to individuals and couples dealing with relationship concerns. I am a court approved mediator and parenting coordinator in addition to being a therapist. For most people, finding an effective clinician is a matter of trial and error. When clients experience a belief in the value of therapy as a process and a confidence and trust in their therapist; when clients feel safe, respected, and understood ,there is a greater likelihood of a positive result.
