I strongly believe that people have amazing abilities to overcome the obstacles in their lives, to learn from their experiences and create a life in accordance with their values. My role as your therapist is to help facilitate your process of achieving your goals. I have a direct style that I try to mix with a sense of humor. Some of the areas of special interest to me are depression/anxiety, trauma, stress, divorce, transitions, grief, self-esteem, and relationship concerns. I utilize a mix of theoretical approaches depending on your situation, including cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 19 years of clinical experience working with adults, adolescents and couples. I am Certified EMDR therapist. EMDR is a proven method to help people more quickly overcome trauma and other disturbing events. My office is located in Boise's historic North End in a building with multiple wellness providers.
