People come to see me because they have reached a point in their lives where something needs to change. This may be a decreased experience of happiness and fulfillment, repetitive patterns of destructive behavior, a general sense of agitation and frustration, diminishing relationships with loved ones, a desire to understand yourself more clearly, or something else entirely. If you are reading this, then you have, at least, entertained the idea of making serious changes in your life. I will help you examine what is working well in your life and what is hindering your journey towards health and happiness. Though I've worked with many types of people, my specialty is working with individuals around issues related to sexuality (erectile dysfunction, low sexual desire, early ejaculation, relationship issues, gay/lesbian/bisexual issues, gender issues, sexual addiction, sexual abuse), eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorders), and trauma/grief/bereavement. In addition to clinical work, I am a full-time instructor at the University of Pennsylvania's masters in counseling program. I teach topics like human sexuality, the psychology of gender, abnormal psychology, counseling and psychotherapy, advanced ethics, and multicultural counseling. I also run my own website and blog.
