The decision to seek professional counseling is often a difficult one. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is crucial to successful therapy, so I will always treat you with respect and provide a safe, warm, confidential environment where you can feel secure discussing your personal issues and concerns. Whether your problem is short-term situational or requires longer term treatment, I will work collaboratively with you to meet your needs in the most effective way possible. I have been in practice for over 20 years. I have broad experience with many types of problems. I work especially well with issues of abuse and trauma (physical, emotional, sexual), depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, bipolar disorder. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults and couples. With younger children, my treatment of choice is play therapy. With adults I use an Integrative Psychotherapy model, drawing on a number of theories and treatment methods to facilitate resolution of your issues.
