The decision to find a counselor is a difficult one. It can even be more difficult when you are looking for someone to work with your child. I strive to provide a warm, caring, safe environment for people of all ages. I have training and experience in providing counseling for children - even as young as two years old. I also provide counseling for adolescents, young adults, parents, and families. In addition, I can teach parents how to provide therapeutic parenting for children who have experienced trauma and/or attachment issues. Because most children do not yet have the developmental skills to respond to typical "talk" therapy, I frequently use play therapy. Play allows children to express their feelings about events, relationships, and environments in a safe, non-threatening way. My office is equipped with three specialized therapy rooms designed specifically for toddlers, school-aged children, and teenagers.
