I consider myself to be a trauma-informed counselor. Trauma is, in my opinion, a primary source of multiple psychiatric disorders. Working from that perspective, or lens, opens up for more focused treatment. My educational background includes a systemic perspective. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR and integrate some dialectical behavioral therapy skills. Clients are seen through our Central Intake division.
