As a psychotherapist, I feel extremely privileged to participate in important life transitions for the individuals who come to see me. Grief, loss, depression, trauma and anxiety generally serve as motivators for clients to seek assistance for their pain and confusion. Ultimately, these life challenges can provide an opportunity for renewal, reframing and a profound understanding of one's life purpose. No matter how focal the person's issue, my approach is always to know the whole individual--their history, their relationships,their personalities, and their life desires. Together, we work towards not only deep healing, but charting new beginnings. . In over 20 years of private practice (and five years as a medical university professor), I have seen and worked with nearly every variety of psychological and relationship problem. No matter what the issue, we work together towards problem resolution and a greater understanding of one's self and others. My approach is to work in whatever way feels most comfortable to a client. I am experienced in psychodynamic, interpersonal and cognitive techniques. For those who are interested in energetic, wholistic treatment approaches, we can explore these integrative healing systems.
