I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years, counseling individuals of all ages. In addition to my core clientele of working adults, I work with the elderly,couples, and children and teens. Whatever the age or life experience, I tailor my treatment in a way that best suits his or her needs. My primary approach is to use rational emotive behavior therapy, a cognitive-behavioral system that focuses on how our thinking affects our feelings and consequently the way we conduct our lives. I help clients hone in on a goal and map out steps to attain it. I have special training in trauma, depression/anxiety and PTSD. I am a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. I am trained in infant mental health, divorce/infidelity issues, mediation and domestic violence. I work with individuals and families that are dealing with cancer concerns and other chronic diseases and associated losses. I am comfortable working with people of all faiths and find one's religious beliefs often supplement the therapeutic process. Over my career, I've seen individuals gain important insights into their behavior and learn new skills helping them regain peace of mind and improve their minds.
