I offer a curious and compassionate environment to explore, heal, and grow. I believe that change is possible, and that psychotherapy can restore energy and resilience. I use expressive arts, mindfulness, and play, as well as talk therapy, to help clients understand their experience, manage stress, and learn to make healthier choices. I assist children, adolescents, and adults with the challenges of life transitions, mood issues, and healing old wounds left by trauma. I can help families to build strong, positive communication. I especially enjoy working with young women and girls as they find their place in the world. Stress, loss, and change interrupt our lives and identities on many levels. Traumatic events can make relationships feel difficult, even dangerous. Healing involves safely and gently learning to recognize and work with stuck feelings, beliefs, and habits, so clients can get back on track toward happiness and growth. Before I began my counseling career, I worked in the arts, writing, and film production. I enjoy finding out what is unique to each client that may help them tap into their own wisdom, creativity, and healing. My own areas of interest include music, animals, and the mind-body connection.
