My ideal client is looking for positive change, be it in relationship with self or with others. Change occurs naturally and powerfully when, in the safety and comfort of my office, the here-and-now is fully understood and experienced. I will sit with you in a respectful and deeply compassionate atmosphere, and share your journey towards a more satisfying life. With children and teens I use play, sandtray, and art therapies to build a relationship of trust and warmth where difficulties are expressed, and where children find ways to overcome their challenges, thereby reclaiming their mastery of their lives. In supporting children's growth, I often engage families in the work, as one person's change is enhanced by other family members' growth. I teach healthy communication skills and boundaries to guide families through emotionally charged issues, to uncover underlying tensions, and to the gift of connection, respect, and understanding. I have developed special interests in meditation, men's work, and rites of passage.
