Developing a comfortable rapport with a therapist is essential to effective treatment. I believe in offering an open and affirming space where clients can bridge the gap between where they feel they are and where they would like to be. That being said, I do often use humor in therapy sessions, as laughter can be an invaluable tool in managing and overcoming even the most serious of issues. I have been in practice for over a decade and have experience treating most psychiatric disorders. I have been trained in and utilize psychodynamic, humanistic, gestalt, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical-behavioral therapies; pulling from each as necessary to provide the best level of care for my clients.
