I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families and work with clients of various ages as young as the age of two. I have experience working in a college setting, residential substance abuse treatment facility, working in the community with clients in their homes and schools, and in private practice. I have worked with children and families covering a variety of issues including trauma, adoption, abuse, domestic violence, attachment, parenting skills, communication skills, substance abuse, divorce, sexuality, and adjusting to changes in life and environment. I am knowledgeable in treating anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. I work with children and parents on adoption issues, behavioral issues, and bonding/attachment. I incorporate suitable techniques and modalities including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral interventions, stress management, play therapy, and modeling to address the client's needs. I strive to provide a safe, supportive environment to assist my clients in becoming the experts of their own lives and providing hope for their future.
