I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Grief Counselor. During my 23 years of experience as a Social Worker, I've had experience with a wide variety of people, from infants to seniors, in a variety of settings. Through these experiences, I came to understand the many situations in which grief and loss effect people, which is why I chose to make that a central focus when I began my private counseling practice. However, I do not limit my practice to grief and loss. I also see clients who are experiencing other personal, emotional and mental health challenges. We may experience grief and loss through the death of a loved one or many other life situations. Grief counseling provides an opportunity to adapt to your own experience, relieve intense feelings,and consider your own personal values and goals...enabling you to eventually find hope and gratification in your life. When seeking a counselor, it's important that you feel comfortable with whomever you choose. I take a "down to earth" and non-judgmental approach to developing an understanding of your own unique experiences in an atmosphere that is comfortable and private so you're able to honestly express your thoughts and feelings.
