As a counselor in private practice since 2000, I consider my true specialty to be helping people resolve the experiences that have laid the groundwork for their current difficulties. Whether a client presents with anxiety, depression, substance-related problems, complicated mourning, low self-esteem, or relationship stress, we work to resolve the underlying life experiences that contribute to these symptoms. This deep healing leads to growth and change, as well as to increased happiness, fulfillment, and effectiveness. I find it a privilege to assist my clients in healing and achieving their full potentials. I specialize in a client-centered, integrative psychotherapy approach called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am the only Approved Consultant in EMDR in the Charleston area.
