Through a combination of conversation, mindfulness practice, movement awareness, lifestyle assessment, and nature exploration, clients begin to learn to move more skillfully with the natural ups and downs of life. My perspective is influenced by mindfulness-based and cognitive behavioral approaches, incorporating present-moment awareness and learning to shape experience, self, and relationships in a more satisfying way. I work with adults, couples, teens, children, and families dealing with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, and relational issues. This perspective is rooted in an appreciation and respect for the interdependence of life and relationships, cultivating a sense of connection and well being by learning to take better care of one's community and attending more fully to immediate sensory experience.
