I specialize in treating pre-teens, teens, adults, and families. I have over 20 years experience treating clients struggling with behavioral disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, stress and anger management, poor self-esteem and codependency, life transition issues, complicated grief reactions, childhood trauma, divorce and family adjustments related to remarriage, adoption, trauma and loss. I use a client-centered, compassionate and conversational approach with cognitive therapy, behavioral interventions, supportive counseling, and a range of techniques that focus on self development and healing. I support holistic health methods, yoga, support groups, Self-Compassion and Mindfulness techniques as well as energy psychology to add additional therapeutic value to the healing process. Therapy is a process of self-development. My role is as an active listener and guide to higher functioning as well as an educator on psychological disorders and symptoms. My work history includes both clinical and supervisory roles across out-patient, community-based, intensive home-based and residential care programs.
