Do you have concerns regarding yourself or a family member? Has your child's school expressed concern regarding his or her behavior? Has there been a family separation, divorce, abuse history or other reason for you or your child to be feeling anxious or depressed? My goal as a therapist is to help a client address thought processes, feelings and behavior, understand inner conflicts, and find new ways to cope with, and alleviate distress. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have worked for many years in both school and community mental health settings utilizing various forms of therapy. What is Play therapy? Play therapy is where I help a child make sense of difficult life experiences through the activity of play. Play is a child's natural way of communicating and together we can explore various issues they might find difficult to express in other ways. I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them overcome a range of psychological and emotional concerns. Whether difficulties stem from a family issue, school issue, trauma related or other situational factor, I can be a therapuetic resource.
