All counseling I do is related to work and career issues. You may be thinking about a different career, trying to figure out a major in college, considering re-entering the job market after an absence, questioning what's next after graduating, or are unhappy with your current work situation. We explore characteristics such as values, interests, and motivators through counseling sessions, assessments and exercises. It's a very active process with the goal of discovering what best suits you, keeping in mind the realities of the job market and individual needs. I work with clients of all ages, from high school, to graduating college to entering retirement. Other examples include people returning to the job market after absences and those experiencing divorce or other life transition. My approach is open-minded, eclectic and non-judgmental. Work/life balance and glass ceiling issues have been of particular interest to me and I have done research in both areas. I also can help with resume writing and interviewing techniques and networking skills.
