I work with adult clients, both individuals and couples. I also work with families who are struggling with communicating effectively, and/or are going through a period of adjustment that is causing tension within the family system. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of success in therapy. Without feelings of safety and trust, it is difficult to let down your defenses. My goal is to provide a nurturing environment where you feel free to be yourself. It is when you are your genuine self that you can begin to gain insight and allow for personal growth and healing. I have a preference for an Emotionally Focused Therapy approach, with a focus on developing/increasing open and honest communication in working with couples, individuals, and families struggling in relationships. I specialize in the 12 Step Recovery Model, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR in treating substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and trauma.
