I have spent many years helping people in different ways, professionally. As an RN, I worked with adults and families facing crises of terminal illness, surgeries and death alongside the delights and challenges of childbirth and launching families. If you are struggling with nightmares and hypervigilant behavior, have lost your ability to feel joy or feel numb and indifferent toward those you love, suffer panic attacks and isolation; I can come alongside and help you understand symptoms and recover from them. If you want to feel normal again and feel liberated from anxieties, fears, and depression, we will work together toward this goal. I am relational and warm in my interpersonal approach. My years of nursing experience were spent with people who experienced multiple adverse life events. You may have survived trauma, abuse, and injury. I can help you move from surviving to thriving. My training especially prepares me for trauma-focused care. My role is to develop a strong connection of trust with you and to sensitively work through issues that cause personal pain. We'll build on strengths and cultivate wellness and integration in a safe place. Every journey begins with small steps. I am willing to take those steps with you.
